Between the ears of Sine (unpublished chronicle of May 2010)
Initially, I was a fan of the cartoonist Sine, anticolonial antikeuf, anarchist ... but it is about jazz that was found. In 1996, I went to the festival from New Orleans, I could not stop thinking about him and I ended up writing to her. What a thrill to receive an answer from him, and what surprised to read: "you would have told me before, I was there too, might have been confusing. When you return to Paris, call me! During the following evening to dig into his music, to sing Fats Waller, Chet Baker play to listen with Archie Shepp, compared Ella and Billie, to speak of Armstrong and Vian ...
From late 2000 I attended almost all the birthdays of Bob and I discovered another aspect of his personality. We understand that his enjoyment of music is also tied to the party when you see him fight the measure, with a smile that goes from ear to ear. In the evenings there, we put the jazz side, and it is rather the soul and salsa that make us dance. Ray Charles, James Brown or Aretha Franklin. Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz. Dario Moreno ... or even until dawn! 
While Bob is known and appreciated worldwide for its hatred and malice without pity for idiots, I discovered his kindness and love, just as excessive, for the pleasures life, friends and music, that save us a bit of ugliness in the world. It was Catherine who explained his logic: it works with passion, flat out, without interruption, and 24/24 in increments of 15. At first fifteen years of jazz (post war), then a decade of soul, then fifteen years of salsa, then return to jazz ... 
In August 2008, Bob moved me to write a science column in the newspaper he will rely. After several days of hesitation, I offered him instead a music column. It is his confidence, passion and instinct that reassure me: you can not go wrong when we talk about what we love, and never mind what others think. It also accepts, saying "trying to talk about original stuff, like the Ethiopians that you made me discover." And then he devoted himself to the newspaper, at full speed, without interruption, 24/24 ... When the newspaper has stopped, I held the first release from Bob in twenty months: we went to see jazz singer Mina Agossi live ... "The post Sine Hebdo" looks set to be the auspices best: we will start taking time to talk music, listen and see music, dance on music, and that's what life should be like everyday!

Mina Agossi is one of those young singers who are not just "nice" or has "a beautiful voice "(they are all beautiful and have beautiful voices). It also explores new territories, like those occasions she likes Jimi Hendrix. Here
